Historic Forbes Field

Forbes Field open in 1909 and was predominately used as the home ballpark of the Pittsburgh Pirates. It also was used by the Pittsburgh Steelers of the NFL and hosted numerous other events. It was the second concrete and steel stadium constructed in America to open only a few short months after Shibe Park in Philadelphia.
